ALL SKILL LEVELS WELCOME! The clinic runs on Sundays from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. in SWOCC’s recreation center gym on the following dates: Feb. 9, Feb. 16, Feb. 23, March 1, March 8, March 15, March 22, March 29. The cost is $10 as a drop-in fee, or $65 for all 8 weekly sessions (if paid in advance). The SWOCC & Beyond presentation Loneliness: A Real Health Dilemma begins a dialog into how loneliness is increasing in the United States. This lecture will also touch on how loneliness negatively affects our health and well-being. Presenter Carolyn Duke, a Registered Nurse with a master’s degree in health/wellness counseling and health education, will give some practical ideas on how to reduce loneliness in one’s life. The lecture includes a question and answer period to expand the conversation. This lecture meets on Tuesday, March 17, at 6:00 p.m. This event is free and open to the public. There aren’t many places where education and nature are so closely intertwined. Southwestern has both in spades.
